Dynacor appoints former ArcelorMittal Mines Canada GM as COO
Dynacor Group has appointed Jonathan Hill COO, where he will guide the group's operational and strategic objectives while driving operational excellence, safety, talent success and technology enablement.
His appointment comes as Dynacor is commissioning the first phase of its expansion strategy across South America and Africa.
Hill has 25 years’ experience in industrial and mining leadership, mostly across North America. Throughout his career he has built, commissioned, optimised and managed various operations, having built a proven track record for operational discipline and technical rigour.
Most recently he worked as GM for ArcelorMittal Mines Canada’s integration operations, where he drove improvements in operational performance at Canada’s largest openpit iron-ore complex. His earlier work experience includes operations manager for Detour Gold and mine manager for Nordgold in Burkina Faso.
Hill succeeds Daniel Misiano who was promoted to president and CEO of the company in June.
Dynacor operates and develops gold processing and exploration projects in Peru, Ecuador and Senegal.
