Most Steel and Petrochemical Units Return to Production with Ministry of Industry’s Acceleration
The Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, outlining the latest status of the restoration and reconstruction of damaged industrial infrastructure, announced the return of the majority of petrochemical and steel units to the production cycle and guaranteed stable supply of steel sheets for downstream industries.
Seyed Mohammad Atabak, Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, referring to the rapid recovery process of production units, stated: “In the petrochemical and steel chain sectors, given the adoption of a chain management approach and the mutual dependence of numerous industrial companies on these complexes, special priority was placed on accelerating reconstruction operations.”
Emphasizing the achievements of this strategic measure, he added: “Currently, the majority of petrochemical units have returned to operation, and a large number of steel units have also resumed their activities.”
Status of Reconstruction of Smelting and Reduction Furnaces
The Minister of Industry, regarding thermal infrastructure and smelting lines, stated: “Most industrial smelting furnaces have been reconstructed and have returned to the continuous production path; also, the process of removing obstacles and completing reconstruction for the remaining portion of reduction furnaces is being seriously pursued.”
Worry-Free Sheet Supply for Automotive and Home Appliance Industries
Atabak, in conclusion, assuring downstream industries and the consumer market of the stability of basic product supply, noted: “There is no concern whatsoever regarding the supply of steel sheets required by the automotive industry, and the raw material needs of the country’s home appliance manufacturing industries will also be fully met.”
