Finalization of Agreement to Transfer 30% Share of Lakeh-Siah Mine to Bafq
The Governor of Bafq announced the finalization of an agreement to transfer a 30% share of the Lakah-Siah mining complex to the city and the launch of legal proceedings to pursue mining-related claims.
Reza Fallah made the announcement today, Saturday, August 15, at a meeting of the Bafq County Administrative Council, stating that the Lakah-Siah Mine is located 40 kilometers northeast of Bafq in the Central Iran structural zone. He added that, with the approval of the Yazd Governor’s Office, an agreement will be prepared to transfer a 30% share of the sales of this mining complex.
He also announced that legal action has been filed against four mining complexes in the county for failing to pay their 2% share, adding that this matter is being seriously pursued for the first time.
The governor also referred to the case concerning the political upgrading of the Sabz Dasht district and said that after a technical issue is resolved, the case will be resubmitted to the Ministry of Interior for finalization.
