Every day we work alongside colleagues, each of whom, through a way of thinking, shapes part of the organization’s movement; some explore data with analytical thinking and make precise decisions, some find new solutions in the heart of difficulties with creative thinking, a group sees the connection between units and projects with systems thinking, and some turn ideas into action with executive thinking and push the work forward in the field. This diversity of thought is not a simple difference, but a capital that makes us more resilient against challenges and faster in seizing opportunities.
Human Resources and Support Management believes that cultivating these ways of thinking is more important than any technical or equipment training. Today’s mining requires minds that can analyze, be creative, see the system, and execute; minds that, at the moment of decision-making, both apply experience and envision the future. For this reason, training and development programs have been designed based on strengthening these very mental skills, so that employees are not only more capable but also more thoughtful and familiar with the latest technologies of the day.
Sometimes in the workplace, “5S” is mentioned, but it must be emphasized that 5S is merely organizing the environment, while understanding types of thinking is organizing the organization’s mind. If 5S tidies the desk, this intellectual quintet makes the path of development orderly and purposeful and helps us have a more agile, more precise, and more future-oriented organization.
