Metso tasks Lapointe to lead aggregates business

Mineral processing equipment company Metso has appointed Renaude Lapointe president of its aggregates business effective November 15, succeeding Markku Simula.

Lapointe has worked as Metso’s president for the Europe and Central Asia market area since December 2024. He previously led Metso’s ‘products’ business line under the aggregates segment from 2018 to 2024.

“I am excited to return to the aggregates business and lead such a highly respected global organisation. With its strong customer relationships, industry-leading solutions, and talented team, the business is well positioned for continued success and growth,” Lapointe comments.

Metso president and CEO Sami Takaluoma says Lapointe brings experience from both Metso’s aggregates business and market area organisation, which will support the continued development of Metso’s offerings and close cooperation with customers.
