Merger of steel companies requires proper privileges to encourage investors, Chairman of the board of IMIDRO announced.
Mining News -According to the report of public relations of IMIDRO, Mehdi Karbasian during the 8th steel market conference expressed that at the beginning of 11th government mining exploration and steel projects were stagnant and national steel company has been closed which indicates the lack of care to steel sector.
He added that new statistics shows the maintenance in steel chain balance. Based on our prediction the situation will be better due to operation of new projects in next Iranian year(March21,2018_March20,2019).Despite of some believes it needs participation of foreign countries.
Exploration of 2 billion Iron ore reserves Karbasian noted the mining exploration and expressed that exploration activities during recent years were good and only in iron ore sector over 2 billion tonnes reserves were discovered in Central Plateau.
He continued: “we used consulting aids of 10 credible foreign companies in underground mines which absolutely will increase our reserves due to exploration of these mines”
. Invitation for exploration
Karbasian announced that one of our main actions is invitation of major steelmakers and iron ore companies to participate in exploration and operation of mines. We started exploration activities in 250thousasnd square kilometers and now invite private sector to start deep explorations.
He declared obligatory integration is not a proper option for development of companies but must encourage investors to economic activities through giving privileges. Karbasin noted the impact of exports and said steel exports to Europe, Canada and Asia saved our steel industry.
Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade expressed steel chain headquarters was established with attendance of private sector organizations such as Iran Mine house, Iran Chamber of Commerce and Iran Iron Ore Association.
