The trading volume of the silver bullion deposit certificate market on the Iran Commodity Exchange surpassed the 200-ton mark and recorded a trading value exceeding 77.2 trillion tomans, setting an unprecedented record.
According to trading statistics, the trading volume of silver bullion deposit certificates since the market’s launch has reached over 200 tons, and the trading value of this market has exceeded 77.2 trillion tomans. Additionally, more than 140 tons of silver bullion are currently held in vaults approved by the Commodity Exchange, indicating the significant capacity of this market for developing trading and silver-based financial instruments.
The development of the silver bullion deposit certificate trading infrastructure and the increase in trading volume and inventory of this market have also paved the way for the formation and development of indirect investment instruments in silver. In this regard, the Iran Commodity Exchange has so far launched 15 silver-based investment funds, with the total net asset value of these funds reaching over 42 trillion tomans.
The expansion of these funds alongside the growth of silver bullion deposit certificate trading indicates the formation of a complete investment chain in the silver market, such that investors can take advantage of opportunities in this market both through direct deposit certificate trading and through silver-based investment funds.
Silver bullion deposit certificates make it possible to invest in silver without the need to purchase, transport, and physically store it, and the acceptance and storage of bullion in vaults approved by the Commodity Exchange, along with specific trading standards, have provided a suitable platform for transparent and standardized trading of this asset.
