Mining News Pro - Uzbekistan resumed import of cement in accordance with the resolution of the government of May 22.
Uzbekistan earlier banned export of raw materials for production of medical supplies and import of cement since April 23 due to coronavirus pandemic.
Such decision was made after the demand for cement dropped and many construction sites were frozen. Another aim was support of domestic producers.
After economic sector and major industrial enterprises resumed their work, construction sites were re-oopened, these companies plan to increase import of cement.
