Pantoro hits 1737 grams per tonne of gold in Racetrack

Pantoro Gold has confirmed the continuity of high-grade mineralisation at its Racetrack discovery in Western Australia, with infill drilling returning some of the strongest grades and widths recorded since exploration resumed at Norseman in 2019.

The standout intercept returned 4.94m at 349.14 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 603.02m, including 0.91m at 1737.37g/t from the same depth and 0.43m at 80.67g/t from 607.53m.

Another hole intersected 20.36m at 15.55g/t gold from 576.29m, including 5.94m at 43.1g/t from 580.5m, and other results saw 7.05m at 8.82g/t gold from 388.2m, including two narrow intervals grading above 55g/t, as well as 3.53m at 34.44g/t from 496.72m and 1.85m at 11.62g/t from 522.33m.

Pantoro managing director Paul Cmrlec said the results demonstrated the emerging scale and grade of the Racetrack structure.

“Racetrack is shaping up as a very high-grade structure with some of the widest intercepts we have seen at Norseman to date,” he said.

“Grades encountered are similar to those seen at the Bullen deposit; however, early drilling suggests greater lode widths. Bullen produced over 500,000 ounces between 1985 and 2000 at a mined grade of approximately 10 g/t, and remains open at depth.”

The second phase of infill drilling has now confirmed a high-grade zone extending for more than 350m along strike, from near surface to a depth of 600m. Mineralisation remains open to the east and down-dip.

Pantoro considers Racetrack a cross-linked structure analogous to the Bullen lode, located just 600m north of the existing OK Underground Mine and infrastructure, which could also support a relatively rapid development pathway.

“Just 600 metres from the OK Decline, Racetrack can be developed with minimal additional infrastructure requirements and mined independently once dedicated ventilation circuits are established,” Cmrlec said.

“Preliminary planning for access is already underway.”

Pantoro’s 2026–27 budget includes the development of an exploration drive from the upper levels of the OK Decline, with preliminary planning for the required underground infrastructure underway.

Multiple drill rigs remain active at Racetrack, with further work set to expand the phase-two program and test the lode east towards the Mararoa Reef.

“The drill program continues with multiple rigs in action, and our geology team is focused on expanding the high-grade zone and bringing this exciting discovery to production as soon as possible,” Cmrlec said.

Racetrack forms part of Pantoro’s wholly owned Norseman gold project, which hosts a total Mineral Resource of 4.6 million ounces and Ore Reserves of 859,000 ounces.
