Canadian diamond miner Mountain Province CFO steps down
Mountain Province Diamonds has announced its CFO Steven Thomas will step down effective September 1 to pursue other opportunities, however, he will support the company in an advisory role through the transition process to a new CFO.
Thomas had helped the company navigate through a period of considerable change and challenge the last four years, with chairperson Jonathan Comerford thanking him for his service and wishing him every success in the next chapter of his career.
Mountain Province Diamonds is a 49% participant with De Beers Canada in the Gahcho Kué diamond mine located in Canada’s Northwest Territories.
The Gahcho Kué joint venture property consists of several kimberlites that are actively being mined, developed, and explored for future development.
The company also controls more than 96 000 ha of highly prospective mineral claims and leases surrounding the Gahcho Kué mine that include an indicated mineral resource for the Kelvin kimberlite and Iinferred mineral resources for the Faraday kimberlites.
