ACG produces first copper concentrate from Gediktepe operation in Türkiye
ACG Metals has achieved first copper concentrate production at the Gediktepe operation, in Türkiye.
The company confirms that the plant’s commissioning is progressing as planned, with the operation now entering the ramp-up phase to increase throughput, optimise plant performance and reach full production by the end of the year.
The Gediktepe sulphide expansion adds copper and zinc production to the site’s existing gold and silver operations. ACG acquired the Gediktepe mine in 2024.
The company is targeting steady-state copper concentrate production of between 20 000 t/y and 25 000 t/y.
“Producing our first copper concentrate marks ACG’s transition into a copper producer and is a defining milestone for the company. Achieving this safely and within budget reflects the dedication and execution capability of our employees, contractors and partners.
“Our priority is now a disciplined ramp-up, progressively increasing throughput and recoveries, delivering consistent concentrate quality and advancing towards steady-state production. We look forward to reporting further progress as commissioning continues,” says ACG chairperson and CEO Artem Volynets.
