Obtaining Three Polymetal Exploration Licenses in Borujerd; IMPSACO’s New Step in Lorestan

The executor of the Western Region Exploration Project stated that the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization’s subsidiary, the Iran Minerals Production and Supply Company (IMPASCO), in cooperation with the General Directorate of Industry, Mine and Trade of Lorestan Province, has succeeded in obtaining three polymetal exploration licenses in Borujerd County.
Hossein Karimi-Javid, explaining this news, said: Within the framework of constructive interaction with the General Directorate of Industry, Mine and Trade of Lorestan Province and through continuous follow-up, IMPASCO was able to register three polymetal exploration licenses in this county in its own name.
Referring to the background of the exploration studies carried out, he added: The Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) and the Iran Minerals Production and Supply Company have, since 2019, begun extensive and systematic exploration studies across Lorestan Province, which so far have led to the identification and introduction of 32 promising mineral areas in the province.
Karimi-Javid emphasized: As a result of these studies and in cooperation with the General Directorate of Industry, Mine and Trade of the province and the General Directorate of Natural Resources and Watershed Management of Lorestan, in 2025 three new exploration licenses were issued in the name of IMPASCO.
The executor of the Western Region Exploration Project continued: These licenses pertain to the areas of “Varzan,” “Cham-dar Seydi,” and “Dareh Bijan,” which have areas of 81, 17, and 54 square kilometers, respectively.
Emphasizing the continuation of inter-agency cooperation in Lorestan Province, he noted: The executive operations of exploration in these three areas are underway, and this reflects IMPASCO’s serious determination to develop mining activities, complete the exploration chain, and create new investment platforms in Lorestan Province.
Karimi-Javid stated at the end: With these areas entering the operational phase of exploration, it is expected that suitable grounds will be provided for economic growth, the creation of sustainable employment, and industrial development in Borujerd County and other regions of Lorestan Province.
