Hormozgan Steel: A Leading Organization in Iran’s Steel Industry
The Technology Deputy of Hormozgan Steel Company stated: "By adopting the national organizational excellence model and transforming areas for improvement into strengths in recent years, Hormozgan Steel has become an exemplary organization, earning three crystal trophies."
Alireza Kazemi, speaking on the sidelines of the 22nd National Organizational Excellence Award Conference, said: “In past years, Hormozgan Steel decided to implement the European EFQM quality model—whose localized version is the National Organizational Excellence Award—to achieve balanced growth.”
He added: “Hormozgan Steel began its first year in this award with a ‘Commitment to Excellence’ certificate, then progressively advanced through recognition levels until achieving the Crystal Trophy in 2021. The company has now earned this honor in three consecutive cycles with increasing scores.”
The Technology Deputy emphasized: “In the 22nd edition, we increased our score compared to previous cycles, reaching the 500-550 point range to secure the Crystal Trophy. We aim to plan strategically for the next step—the Silver Trophy of the National Organizational Excellence Award.”
Highlighting key criteria for the award, Kazemi noted: “The organizational excellence model requires balance between enablers and results. At Hormozgan Steel, we identified improvement areas by reviewing self-assessment results and external feedback from award auditors over the years, then implemented necessary enhancement projects.”
He concluded: “These achievements result from collective efforts by all Hormozgan Steel employees, driving the company’s score growth and establishing its leadership in the National Organizational Excellence Award.”
