Holding of a Specialized Course on Integration of Exploration Data and Determination of Drilling Points by IMPASCO

IMPASCO held a three-day specialized course in Tehran focusing on the integration of geological, geochemical, and geophysical data with the aim of optimizing the determination of drilling points.

According to Madan News, Iran Minerals Production and Supply Company (IMPASCO) held a three-day specialized course in Tehran focusing on the integration of geological, geochemical, and geophysical data with the aim of optimizing the determination of drilling points.

IMPASCO organized a three-day specialized course in Tehran with a focus on integrating exploration data and optimizing the determination of drilling targets.

This training course was designed around the integration of three main categories of exploration data, including geological, geochemical, and geophysical data. During the course, emphasis was placed on the importance of an integrated approach, and it was stated that each of these data sets has its own limitations when used independently; however, their intelligent combination can provide a clear and accurate picture of a region’s mineral potential and reduce exploration risks.

The course, which continues until the end of the current week, is being held with the participation of prominent professors and specialists from across the country, and the transfer of scientific and practical experience in the field of mineral exploration is among its main objectives. Participants in this course have been selected from experts of consulting companies active in the field of exploration.

The main objective of this specialized session has been announced as enhancing the level of technical knowledge, increasing accuracy in determining drilling target points, and creating synergy among modern exploration methods.

During the course, it was emphasized that mineral exploration without the use of integrated approaches and the combination of diverse data involves high risk. Geological data, as the foundation of exploration studies, geochemical data as direct indicators of mineralization, and geophysical data as a powerful tool for identifying hidden structures at depth, each play a specific role; however, using them separately creates limitations.

According to this report, the intelligent integration of these three categories of data can provide a transparent and realistic picture of a region’s mineral potential. This training course, with its focus on such an integrated approach, familiarizes experts with the latest methodologies for data integration and optimization of drilling point determination.

It is noteworthy that Iran Minerals Production and Supply Company, by holding such courses, continues its commitment to applying up-to-date global technologies in the path of sustainable development of the country’s mining sector and to the continuous enhancement of the technical capabilities of its human resources. The outputs of this course can be directly utilized in defining new exploration projects and revising ongoing projects, leading to increased efficiency and reduced exploration operation costs.
