Iranian alumina meets one-fifth of the domestic demand for alumina powder

CEO of Jajarm Alumina Company said that this company supply one-fifth of domestic demand for alumina powder in Iran.

“The private sector provides about 10% and the rest of demanded bauxite is extracted from the mines owned by the complex,” Touraj Zare added.

“Bauxite is supplied from private sector mines in various provinces, including North Khorasan, Tehran, Yazd, Semnan, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad,” he said.

“The consumption of bauxite as the mineral raw material of this complex is one million tons per year, and based on this, this factory has a reserve of mineral raw material for another 30 years, he explained.
