China's steel exports threaten all markets

According to Mining News Pro - Deputy of sales and marketing of Mobarakeh Steel Company mentioned that considering the significant increase in the volume of steel products imported into the country in 1402, the serious challenge of the steel industry in 1403 is the import of Chinese steel products to Iran and the decrease Iran's steel exports are to target markets.

“Diminuation of iron ore and steel products prices in the world markets and the increasing exports of the Chinese steel industry have been worrying for all steel producers, including Iranian steelmakers, but the Iran Ministry’s indifference to the developments in the world markets is strange and worrying,” Heidari added.

“Only targeted import of steel to the country is acceptable. Targeted import means steel import only to increase the use of production capacities in the country. Imports that cause the closure of factories or reduce the use of domestic capacities are a betrayal of national capital,” Heidari said.

According to him, the imports in recent months have caused a decrease in the production chain and raised the question that in the situation that why is the import license issued and currency is allocated to this matter.
