HOSCO: our only concern is energy shortage

Chief executive of Hormozgan Steel Company told the parliament members and officials of the province that the company has some huge ongoing projects and their exploitations can create a huge transformation in Hormozgan province and the steel industry.

“Hormozgan is currently the third steel producer in Iran and by exploitation of new projects it will become the second major player in this industry. In addition, we will witness the employment of two thousand people,”he added.

“Hormozgan Steel's numerous records are unique in the country, and the highest production record belongs to Hormozgan Steel. We gained these results despite the electricity outage in summer and gas shortage in the winter. In the current situation, gas is cut off and we are producing with minimum capacity. Hormozgan province consumes a small portion of country's gas. We expect that part of city gas will be allocated to the industry and the problem of gas shortage in will be solved,” he added.
