The increase of production efficiency are on the agenda of the copper company

The CEO of National Copper Company, emphasizing on the intelligentization of the industry, stated: Currently, the competition in the field of industry in the world is defined in intelligence and productivity, and this issue shows the need for the country's industry to enter this field and pay attention to this necessity.

Referring to the 50-year history of the copper industry in Iran, he added: With five decades of experience in the field of copper industry, it was expected that instead of being a consumer of technology and knowledge in this industry; We would become producers of knowledge and technology.

Referring to the naming of this year as "intelligence of the copper industry", Rostami announced the goal of a big leap in the copper industry and the implementation of the first smart mine in the country.

The CEO of the copper company further stated that the first step for a big leap in the copper industry is the increase of copper mineral reserves through exploratory drilling in mining areas.

Emphasizing that the strengthening of this sector in line with the productivity corresponding to the capacity of the country's reserves is on the agenda, he added: with huge investments in increasing the technology of drilling equipment by 100%, ordering 60 drilling machines, talking with the Atomic Energy Organization in order to use Airborne potential in discoveries and the introduction of new technologies in this field, we are looking for the realization of this goal.

Rostami, in explaining the goal setting in the field of extraction, listed the increase of 200 million tons of extraction to 800 million tons in the next four years as one of the important future plans of the company and said: 100 percent strengthening of machinery and manpower is of great importance; Therefore, negotiations and actions have been carried out in this regard.

The CEO of National Copper Company announced the construction of 4 concentration factories in Sarchesmeh, 2 concentration factories in Midok and also 2 concentration factories in Songon copper in the coming years in order to achieve the goal of developing the production sector and achieving the production of 5 million tons of copper concentrate. He added: In the smelting sector, two 200,000-ton smelting plants will be launched in the next 36 months, and the capacity of the Sarchesmeh smelting plant will be increased to 4,000 tons and the capacity of the Khatunabad smelting plant will be increased to 200,000 tons.

In the end, Rostami pointed to Iran's fifth place in the world in terms of copper mineral content, placing it in the 18th place in the field of production as disproportionate to the country's capacities and stated: National Copper Company's full support for downstream industries in order to create infrastructures. Increasing the production and development of the copper industry is a good opportunity for both these industries and the copper field to achieve the set goals.
