China churns out higher coal output to fulfil winter demand

According to Mining News Pro - China produced a total of 190 mnt coal during 1-15 December, with daily output standing at around 12.51 mnt, according to a data from National Energy Administration. The country has maintained high output levels to ensure sufficient energy supply during winter and next spring. The coal stocks at major Chinese plants stood at 176 mnt on 15 December, which is sufficient for 24 days of usage.
