According to Mining News Pro - The Vice President of Industries and Mines Affairs of North Khorasan Organization announced the study for the implementation of the red mud processing project in Jajarm Alumina Company.

“The study of the implementation of this project has been running for about a year and has not yet been completed,” Ali Asghar Rezazadeh said.

Pointing out that bauxite is one of the raw materials used in Iran's Alumina Company in Jajarm, she said: “Efforts are being made to start a red production line from bauxite ore waste.”

IMIDRO will aid Iran Alumina Company to build this production unit.

“About 300 to 400 tons of bauxite waste have been deposited in Jajarm since the operation of Iran Alumina Company,” he added.
