Osisko Gold appoints new CFO
Osisko Gold Group has announced the retirement of CFO and finance VP Alexander Dann and the appointment of Elijah Tyshynski in his stead.
Dann will remain with the company for a transition period to support an orderly handover of his responsibilities.
Osisko Gold chairperson and CEO Sean Roosen says Tyshynski brings to the position extensive financial and capital markets experience as the company enters its next stage of growth.
He adds that owing to Dann’s guidance and leadership over the past five years, Tyshynski will inherit a robust balance sheet with which to maintain and execute Osisko Gold’s growth strategy and delivery of long-term value to shareholders.
Tyshynski previously worked as CFO and corporate secretary of ATEX Resources, previously O3 Mining before it was sold to Agnico Eagle Mines. His background includes extensive infrastructure financing and structuring experience across developed and emerging markets, having held roles at Ontario Teachers Pension Plan, Standard Bank South Africa, Morgan Stanley and Royal Bank of Canada in London.
Osisko Gold’s flagship project is called Cariboo, in British Columbia, with another project called Tintic in Utah.
