Detailed exploration permit issued for 21 IMIDRO zones in West Azerbaijan
The Governor of West Azerbaijan, during the 44th session of the country's Mining Council, issued an order for detailed exploration permits for all 21 IMIDRO zones in the province, so that after four years of stagnation, the mineral capacities of the northwest of the country can be reactivated.
The Governor of West Azerbaijan, during the 44th session of the country’s Mining Council, with the aim of revitalizing the mining sector and generating momentum in the province’s mining industries, issued an order for detailed exploration permits for all IMIDRO (Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization) zones.
Yousef Rashidinia, the executor of the Northwest Regional Project, announced: Following continuous follow-ups by the Northwest Regional Project and after reviewing the performance reports of complex managers and mining projects, it was decided to issue the detailed exploration permits after four years of stagnation.
Rashidinia added: Currently, 21 zones owned by IMIDRO in West Azerbaijan are ready to begin detailed exploration operations. This project is being carried out with the aim of more precisely examining the composition of mineral materials, scientifically assessing mineral potentials, and preparing the necessary infrastructure to attract mining investors.
He emphasized: Issuing these permits, while generating economic activity at the local level, can play an important role in increasing the productivity of mining units, creating direct and indirect employment, and developing downstream industries. Completing detailed explorations will enable more comprehensive planning for the development of mines and the mineral value chain in the province.
The executor of the Northwest Regional Project noted: After extensive follow-ups and a detailed review of the province’s mineral capacities, all 21 IMIDRO zones in West Azerbaijan have been prepared to enter the detailed exploration phase. He expressed hope that with the completion of this phase, we will witness a major transformation in the province’s mines and mining industries.
It is worth mentioning that issuing detailed exploration permits for IMIDRO zones in West Azerbaijan is considered an important step towards activating mineral capacities, attracting new investment, and improving the region’s economic development process.
