Golden Plateau doubles in scale for Aeris through high-grade hits

Aeris Resources has more than doubled the scale of its Golden Plateau drilling program in Queensland after continued high-grade gold results strengthened confidence in the deposit’s potential as a future ore source.

The program has expanded from 6400 metres to approximately 14,000 metres, with results continuing to confirm significant mineralisation across multiple lodes within the company’s Cracow tenement package.

Recent standout intercepts include 34.5 metres at 3.1 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 184.6 metres at the South lode, alongside 7.1 metres at 4.9g/t and 6.8 metres at 4.2g/t from the West lode.

Aeris executive chairman Andre Labuschagne said the latest results continue to validate Golden Plateau as a key growth opportunity for the company’s Cracow operation.

“The latest drilling from Golden Plateau strengthens our confidence in the deposit’s potential to become a new ore source for Cracow,” he said.

“High-grade drill results have been consistently reported across multiple lodes, confirming the presence of significant gold mineralisation around historical workings.

“On the back of these results, we are expanding the drill program to expedite a mineral resource estimate and an economic assessment of the project.”

The Golden Plateau deposit sits just a kilometre north of the Cracow processing facility and has historically produced approximately 850,000 ounces of gold, highlighting its long-standing significance within the broader goldfield.

Current drilling has focused on testing remnant mineralisation surrounding historical underground workings, with results continuing to align closely with the company’s geological model.

Aeris said drill holes have consistently intersected targeted lodes at predicted positions, reinforcing confidence in the deposit’s continuity.

Exploration at the Ferneyside and newly identified Sunnyside lodes has delivered encouraging near-surface results, with mineralisation traced over approximately 150 metres of strike.

These zones are emerging as potential open-pit targets, supported by shallow positioning and expanding lateral continuity.

At the South lode, drilling has highlighted the potential of remnant pillars, previously uneconomic zones left behind during historic underground mining, which may now be viable under open-pit scenarios. The strong intercept from hole GPS140 underscores this opportunity.

Meanwhile, results from the West lode have demonstrated mineralisation associated with historical voids, suggesting further upside through additional drilling to define remnant gold zones along a 200 metre strike extent.

With two diamond rigs currently operating on site, Aeris has completed roughly half of the expanded program, with assays continuing to be returned progressively.

The company plans to incorporate the results into an updated geological model, with the ultimate aim of delivering a revised mineral resource estimate and advancing economic studies for Golden Plateau.

Aeris said the project remains a key focus as it looks to establish a new, near-mine ore source to support the long-term future of its Cracow operation.
