Mining News Pro - Chief executive of ESCO says that this company guarantees the future of Iran’s coal production.
According to Mining News Pro - In an interview with Mining News Agency, Mehdi Kouhi, chief executive of ESCO said that we need 1,850,000 tons of coal annually. Because blast furnaces all over the world mainly use coal. The current production of the country is less than one million, so we have a deficit of 850,000 tons.
“We request the country's coal producers to increase production with new development plans to the extent that we can use its full capacity,” he said.
Mentioning that ESCO supports domestic coal producers, Kouhi said: "I request to all our colleagues in the coal industry to support domestic production and maximize production capacity. We are ready to sign a 10-, 20- and 30-year coal supply contracts. This means that coal mines should be fully prepared for the future development plan and to increase production."
