According to Mining News Pro - National Iranian Copper Industries Company announced that during the first month if this (Persian) year copper cathode production jumped by 7%.
Sad Abdi, planning manager at NICICO, said that in the first month of this year, total amount of copper cathode reached 24,615 tons and experienced 7% growth.
“The plan was to produce 103,263 tons of copper concenetrate but now we are ahead of it by having 108,354 tons,” he said while emphasizing that the total amount of concentrate production has increased by 5%.
“NICICO has extracted a total of 17 million and 711 thousand tons. The plan was 14.9 million tons and this means an 18% growth,” Sad Abdi added.
“The planned schedule for sulfur ore extraction by the end of the first month of this year was 4,760,000 tons but currently we are ahead of the plan by having 4,847,000 tons,” he explained.
